When you think of paint manufacture, you imagine large industrial plants emitting vapours that are hazardous to the environment. And then again, the fact that air pollution scares us is confirmed by a recent survey conducted by Legambiente (an Italian environmentalist group) according to which 77% of Italians consider it the greatest threat to the environment. In Parona, in the province of Pavia, this risk does not exist, even in the immediate vicinity of IVM Chemicals’ new mega plant manufacturing paints and coatings for wood.
